Don't like really any of the measures.
Think'st thou heaven is such a glorious thing?
I tell thee, 'tis not half so fair as thou
Or any man that breathes on earth.

Something deeply frustrates me about people who do futile things....

not off to a good start. you might want to try going door to door with flyers, and post it on blogs and social networking sites.

Apparently debt is "good" and without it there would be no wealth so I'm not so sure the balanced budget people are going to get very far with their efforts.
Beliefs in a nutshell:
- The Ends never justify the Means.
- Objectivity is secondary to subjectivity.
- The War on Drugs is the worst policy in the U.S.
- Most people worship technology as a religion.
- Computers will never become sentient.

This amendment is more bureaucratic than useful. If the government followed the constitution to begin with, than we would not require a balanced budget amendment. This amendment ignores a wide variety of factors, and therefore I cannot support it economically. The original constitution was something of a marvel, because of it accounted for a wide variety of factors. It was as perfect, for it' time, as one could possibly make the document. Further more they added an amendment process so it could remain adaptive. Through decades of constant violation, federal the government has become unconstitutional.

Please explain. I've heard talking heads say that before, without explanation. It sounds more like a defensive assertion than actual fact.

It's not futile (well perhaps). I remeber something about Obama looking at any proposal that gets over 10,000 petitions. Or something like that.

His administration will reply to any petition with over 25000 signatures.

I wonder if any petition has made a difference.
