The massive shedding of jobs in light of an Obama re-election has started. Weekly jobless numbers have jumped from 73,000 to 430,000 according to the Wall Street Journal. These job losses come after warning signs this week from the markets and business owners who say they can't afford to keep employees with ObamaCare and the fiscal cliff looming. Hurricane Sandy also had an effect on increasing these numbers.

http://townhall.com...

ObamaCare is simply un-affordable for businesses. Businesses are afraid to invest because of government. When government is unpredictable with regulations and hard on what they can and cannot do, businesses are reluctant to invest. This should be no surprise, yet there are many that are boycotting companies simply because they are forced to downzize because it is un-affordable. They really need a good economic lesson.

Obamacare actually might make life 10x harder for my family and other doctors that I know who are struggling.

People need to realize something. the battle with Obama-care is not over.
When the bill passed, the language of the bill gave the state serious power.

The state needs to choose if they plan on setting up the Obama care infrastructure themselves, or if they plan on handing the job over to the federal government.

If the state decides to push the burden of furnishing infrastructure on the feds then the state DOES NOT incur the tax increase. The tax increase only applies (what, like 3k per employee) IF the state votes to set up the infrastructure internally.

If all the states unite to reject the burden of infrastructure, the burden falls on the Federal Government. The Feds cannot pay for all 50 states, so it would force another health care reform. With a republican house....the reform would die in litigation.

The battle isn't over.

It is stabilizing jobs for a lot of doctors in the private sector. Some doctors who would have been jobless if Obama had not been reelected are being made partners in private firms because the insurance mandate is projected to bring in more customers.

This is a red herring. 16kadams was making up nonsense about how doctors are going to be harmed. In fact, the AAMC is going to accredit new medical schools because the demand for medical services as a result of Obamacare are drastically increasing. http://www.forbes.com...

Primary Care physician pay has jumped to to over $200 K, and doctors look down on the primary care physicians.
This growth is occurring at a faster rate than it was in the past five years.

16kadams' dad is probably in a field like radiology or ER medicine, and those fields were declining before Obamacare existed.

There isn't a physician shortage. There is a dearth of primary care physicians. Primary care options were not lucrative because they were not competitive; nobody wanted them. Pay has now jumped as a result of Obamacare so they will become more competitive.

I don't even understand what these complaints are about. People don't have access to physicians now, but that's ok. Gods forbid that people get medical care.

LOL, people are complaining about "physician burnout", as in "Oh, no, I actually have to do my job and see more than three patients a day!"

God forbid that people get medical care for free.
