Taiwan doesn't owe any external debt?

Taiwan isn't Brunei or Liechtenstein. It is highly industrial and quite Second-World:

No, its national debt is 34.9%

External debt is debt owed by foreign residencies, both private and public. Taiwan just has capital controls that forbids external debt.

America has a comparatively good track record at making proper payments on it's debt compared to other nations. Like it or not, debt actually built this nation. It's a powerful tool.

If debt is not inherently bad, then how can you outright say Europe is in a worse condition? Are you just saying that under the assumption that debt is bad to be consonant with the OP's "Things aren't so shitty in America" vibe?
