Get your PQ
The following 40-question quiz allows you to calculate your Political Quotient. (The book contains a 10-question quiz, which gives a less precise calculation of your PQ. You can access that quiz by clicking on the "About the Book" tab above.) At the end of the quiz, I list politicians who have PQs similar to yours.

I'm a 64.

He's a Texan, so a democrat in Texas is a Republican to the rest of the US.

Looked him up:

>voted to impeach Clinton
>more or less anti-gun control
>favored Reagan-era tax cuts

etc. etc. etc.

Seems like an interesting dude.

"Just because you have the right to do something, doesn"t mean doing it is right." ~ Unknown source

"I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." ~ Voltaire

"A principal source of errors and injustice are false ideas of utility. For example: that legislator has false ideas of utility who considers particular more than general conveniencies, who had rather command the sentiments of mankind than excite them, who dares say to reason, 'Be thou a slave;' who would sacrifice a thousand real advantages to the fear of an imaginary or trifling inconvenience; who would deprive men of the use of fire for fear of their being burnt, and of water for fear of their being drowned; and who knows of no means of preventing evil but by destroying it.

The laws of this nature are those which forbid to bear arms, disarming those only who are not disposed to commit the crime which the laws mean to prevent. Can it be supposed, that those who have the courage to violate the most sacred laws of humanity, and the most important of the code, will respect the less considerable and arbitrary injunctions, the violation of which is so easy, and of so little comparative importance? Does not the execution of this law deprive the subject of that personal liberty, so dear to mankind and to the wise legislator? and does it not subject the innocent to all the disagreeable circumstances that should only fall on the guilty? It certainly makes the situation of the assaulted worse, and of the assailants better, and rather encourages than prevents murder, as it requires less courage to attack unarmed than armed persons." ~ Cesare Beccaria

What I don't like about the quiz is the polarization of the results. I said I opposed most of the questions because they were unconstitutional, but it assumed I believe the opposite policy should be implemented. In many of those cases the government should not be involved. It did not take into account constitutionality, or practicality, only personal opinions. If it would work I would favor min wage, but it doesn't so I oppose it.

I can't help but think the test is a little misleading in its name. By using the title "Political Quotient" they are trying to link it to IQ, Intelligence Quotient. And since they have Democrats at the high end of the PQ (if you agree with everything the democrats did, you'll get 151.6), that can imply the supporting democrats is politically more intelligent.

Don't need to take it. I believe in able bodied self reliance. Politics/govt and able bodied self reliance are incompatible.
It's not your views that divide us, it's what you think my views should be that divides us.

If you think I will give up my rights and forsake social etiquette to make you "FEEL" better you are sadly mistaken

If liberal democrats would just stop shooting people gun violence would drop by 90%

Higher than I expected. I don't think it asked the right questions which would have had me lean more to the right.

And he admits his score is 13 for being conservative.

How is this calculated and what is its purpose?
