President Obama's inauguration speech was remarkable. He made only passing reference to jobs, debt, and the economy, which Americans overwhelmingly believe to be the most important problem facing the country. His limited reference to the debt problems was to say that the problem should be solved, but that every entitlement was off limits. There are fewer people working no than when Obama took office, but, hey, let's talk about global warming.

Offered no compromise with Republicans. He invited everyone to unify by endorsing all that he desires. He used the phrase "take action now," a reference to his renamed campaign organization now repurposed to pressing his far left agenda.

Authoritarian rule depends upon having an evil opponent that justifies government running everything, and to explain why having the government run everything is failing. Hence the endless campaign. As government fails, it will always be the fault of George Bush, Republicans, and the rich. The glorious leader will be the one who made things better than they would be otherwise.

Authoritarian rule

What's with Republicans and their overwhelming obsession with their fictitious perception of Obama being some kind of Authoritarian ruler/king/dictator over America? Of course when they listen to Fox and Rush all day, its not really difficult to seek the culprit. Obama is the President of the U.S., and the comparisons stop there.

He's authoritarian fo sho but I don't think Republicans have a leg to stand on in criticizing him for it.

screw you guys...he's for gay marriage and soft lighting during interviews where he talks real sincerely but says nothing of any substance...hey, wait a minute...something's not right here.

Seriously, can anyone tell me either his, or Romney's, position on anything of substance in the last election, other than either's was anti the other's?

A presidential inauguration speech doesnt define what a presidency will be about and prevent the president from doing something otherwise Roy.... Its just a speech for f*cks sake....

Offered no compromise with Republicans. He invited everyone to unify by endorsing all that he desires. He used the phrase "take action now," a reference to his renamed campaign organization now repurposed to pressing his far left agenda.

Now youre just being insane. The words "take action now" could be interpreted to mean a hundred different things, not just the worst possible thing your imagination can come up with and automatically assume thats what Obama actually meant....

Authoritarian rule depends upon having an evil opponent that justifies government running everything, and to explain why having the government run everything is failing. Hence the endless campaign. As government fails, it will always be the fault of George Bush, Republicans, and the rich.

Nobody is blaming the rich or the Republican Party for the bad economy Roy, theyre only blaming Bush for it happening simply because it happened when he was president.... Also the lame bush excuse grows weaker with each passing day, if another recession just as bad as the one in 2008 hit tomorrow, people would blame Obama.

He's not immune and he is more accountable for how well the economy is and the country is as a whole more then ever. So dont even bother claiming that Obama is infallible and is our glorious leader or anything.

The glorious leader

for f*cks sake

will be the one who made things better than they would be otherwise.

If things get better under his watch, then yes he will get credit for it. Now that its his second term though if anything bad happens then it is also going to be his responsibility for it.
