How long will we be watching Syria being ruined into chaos by those extremists? Syrian opposition is split into numerous groups. And all of them are fighting each other as furiously as al Assad's regime. Terrorists are tearing the state apart. And by interfering into their civil war we've been aggravating the situation in the country. I'm ashamed for French government for such position towards another country. Instead of initiating some political settlement of conflict we just stir more aggression.
Just you wait. At last some Islamite zealots would come to power there. And Syria would become base for terrorist attacks into Israel and Europe. We've already had such experience when entire Europe watched NSDAP's coming to power and Hitler's rise. In 1938 we let Germany and Hungary to occupy Czechoslovakia. And no one intervened on behalf of Poland in 1939.
Everyone knows consequences of such indifference. And now we're promoting creating of another unmerciful and uncivilized aggressor and encouraging separatism. Don't wail when it would come to bite us later.

I like Syria. It's the place where we can publicly fund, arm and train al Qaeda while we decry the need for the organization's destruction in all other places.

Without Syria, it's harder to laugh at people who defend our foreign policy because of "terrorism".

Alex Jones said that all along and people laughed. Now it's common knowledge.

Orwell, too. Anyone with any sense of history could have seen it coming.

The only way terrorist tactics are anything but completely useless, sure-fire losers are if the target of those tactics over-react.

Military historians in the Joint Chiefs know this as well, so our monumentally stupid reaction must have had another purpose, 'cause keep hearin' how smart our miliitary leaders are.
