Shocking really...
Local news are reporting at least 3 deaths and more than 30 injuries.

Terrorist attack? Perhaps a disgruntled city worker? Whatever the case, I hope the perpetrators are hastily brought to justice.

Unless you are implying this was a drone strike by Obama, I don't see why this is in the politics section.

There's already two threads about it in the actual News section.

1. I understand your feeling and motives, but you should know better.
2. As far as traffic goes, this has had 5 users comment, while the news thread has had at least 10. Why? Because people will look there for news.
3. It isn't nit-picking, per se. When I saw this thread, by you, I thought it was about politics. For example, concerns about ramping up the war effort, who did this and why, conspiricy that Obama did it, etc.
However, you did not tie any political concern into the OP, just your personal feelings.

Now, if and when threads regarding the politics of this event are made, it will have to differentiate itself from this one.

Does anyone know what is going on transportation wise in Boston? I finished around 12:30 and all hell has been breaking loose in the city.

I'm supposed to fly out of Logan tommorrow but i cant find a straight answer from anyone and the airport phones are constantly busy. If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it!

That's obvious, to distract us while he (along with the U.N.) takes our guns away. SOP for those in power, really.

What you're really waiting on is for Alex Jones to say something, so he will believe it, and subsequently share it with us.

We predicted this of you hours ago. Behold the mighty power of the New World Order, and bask in their glory!

But seriously. Find a source that doesn't constantly insist on a connection between two events (interleaving such theories with speculation and falsehoods), and we might take you seriously. Unfortunately, you seem to be beyond saving.

People are killed every day around the world, especially in the middle east; this is a fact of life. It is much more rare for a bombing to occur in the US, and an attack on the US effects the entire world. The US economy comprises 22% of the global economy, and as the last world superpower the US plays a key role in international politics.

Unless the event effects the US or has international significance, there is little to no reason for Americans News networks to report it. The news can't even cover every significant event that happens in the US; they have to pick and choose what they will report.

Because we don't relate. No one here can pretend to relate to every death around the world. It's not humanly possible.

News is localized for a target audience. Shocker.

Why should we care? We don't live in Iraq, and Iraq is not a internationally significant country.

Blind nationalism for the win, who gives a sht what happens to the toddler in Iraq, he wasn't born here so his life isn't worth a second thought.

Get off your post-nationalist egalitarian high horse. It's contextually ostentatious and inhumanly cold.

Is it cold to you? I'll tell you what I see as cold: the value of a life being decided based on arbitrary geographical boundaries.

Why can't we grieve and empathize for every senseless death we hear about?

You'll be grieving for quite a long time. Stop arbitrarily picking who to mourn.

"Some will sell their dreams for small desires
Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
And start to dream of somewhere
To relax their restless flight
Somewhere out of a memory of lighted streets on quiet nights..."
