There numbers are probably correct (because most Republcan voters would back multiple people); however, they should definitely not have usen a pie chart to demonstrate those statistics.

So, you're suggesting that a) Fox caters to Republicans, and b) that a plurality of Republicans want Palin.

There must not be much left of the Republicans except their evangelical base. I guess I can take solace in the thought that, er, 123% of GOP voters don't support Palin.

As for the percentages, it really only fails if the respondents had to choose only one. They may have just been asked to pick any they would support. Think of the pie chart as a venn diagram.

Yeah, as WJM said, they obviously got to choose more than one candidate... but a pie chart was a bad choice. They should always add to a "whole", which in the case of percentages is 100%. This is sh*t you learn in grade 3. :P

They should have made the pie chart overlap.

Okay, maybe my point escaped people... I don't so much care about the mathematics itself, but the actual results.

This is a poll of Fox viewers. Palin is the top pick. Palin is the pick of insane people. Therefore, Fox viewers are insane.

I like Obama. I like Romney. I like Huckabee to an extent. I have no personal qualms about either Democrats or Republicans, just that the latter seem to be eating themselves alive.

This is a little more than a disagreement. If you think Palin is a good choice for the GOP, then you're insane.

Lol, agreed. Disagreement between people about these sort of things is normal and healthy, and I'd be surprized if it didn't exist.

But Sarah Palin is another story altogether.

No. Some of the views people like Palin and Huckabee hold are 100% wrong, period.

I wish to nominate my 4-year-old dyslexic, intellectually-handicapped, blind, crippled brother for president.

You wish to nominate Obama.

I think you're crazy and you think I'm crazy. Therefore, both our nominations are equally valid.

A 4 year-old dyslexic, intellectually-handicapped, blind, cripple is your comparison to Sarah Palin - a former Governor of the largest state in land area in the US and former candidate for Vice President. I don't see it.

A former governor who couldn't bother to finish out her own elected first term, can't make the connection between her constant claims of government socialism and her own policy of handing out government oil revenue to Alaskans, thinks Jesus will come back within her lifetime, believes in witches, and was possibly the worst pick for Vice President in a lifetime or two.

I think leet's comparison was pretty accurate.

Of course you do. If he can make that comparison, then I can surely make the comparison of Obama to Hitler. That's actually much more realistic.

Yeah, Hitler was intelligent. Obama is intelligent. What a devastating insult, Nags. lol

Honestly though, I do see disturbing connection there.

Err, yeah, most people do not first associate the quality of intelligence when they hear Hitler.

Honestly though, I do see disturbing connection there.

Somewhat.

Lets see then....

Obama is a capitalist. Hitler was a national socialist.

Hitler believed in the supremacy of the Aryan race. Obama is a social liberal/social democrat with no such belief about any race.

Before he was President, Obama was a constitutional lawyer, community organizer, and first-term Senator. Before he was President, Hitler was a soldier, rioter, and political rabble-rouser who engaged in fights and armed combat in the streets of Germany.

Hitler first came to power by an elected vote, but eventually took all votes away and named himself Chancellor - a position he was not elected to. Obama came to power by an elected vote, but has preserved the integrity of democracy as (almost) every President before him has.

Obama has instituted health care reform intended to balance out the public's access to insurance, and commercial access to profit. Hitler never instituted or reformed health care in any significant way.

I can go on.. but beyond the rhetoric from the right, there isn't much similar there.

Even if I don't argue that Obama and Hitler are similar, what you just said is still more comparable than Sarah Palin and a 4 year-old dyslexic, intellectually-handicapped, blind, cripple.

So my rhetoric is a little sarcastic. It is the best I can do to keep myself from ranting too negatively.
