Yeah, but mostly protesters in the middle east are doing the work and we're just listening to music.

You can pick the song FREEDO

Why do we need to pick one? I assumed this was an all-peace-related thread. Not just for singing Kumbaya over and over again.

That's absolutely true. Music was a very powerful tool in the 60s. In the 30s, as well.

Uh, ok. Seems like posting more songs gets people in the mood more. But it's your thread.

I do have more.

We need an anthem dude... or nobody will know we're singing for the laying down of guns...

Well, DDO doesn't really have it's own military we should be worried about. And I don't think we're picking any anthem for some international movement right here. And all the songs have to do with peace and laying down arms. So...

I think I'm just failing to see the point of this thread if we're not using it for posting more content and/or talking about the practical function or historical relevance of said music in peace movements.

What do you want me to do? Tell you I'm singing? Recite the lyrics of Kumbaya?

You posted this in the politics forum.

And you were supposed to sing it like outside... and then everyone might sing it outside... and then we'd all know and be like, "it's time".
