In this thread, people can ask me questions about society and politics and I will give my opinion of the issues.

To answer the original question...

No.

Do you really believe that? Or not? If you believe it, you should man up and defend it in a debate. -RoyLatham

There are probably only a few people on this site who could create such a thread and not get mocked for it...

Should we maintain the electoral college?

I admit that I have mixed opinions on the issue. But what is the electoral college supposed to do other than represent the general population? Clearly, the electoral college does not do this, however. So no, the electoral college should not be maintained, it should instead be replaced by the popular vote.

I am sort of curious if you are still planning to homeschool your kids. I know your reasons for wanting to homeschool them -so we don't need to go over that again- but I would like to know if there have been any developments to that end.

No, I admit I still want them to have more fun than what I think I originally described, but I still plan to do what I originally stated.

Oh, no means there haven't been any developments, not that I changed my mind about homeschooling.

Do you think children should be allowed to buy assault rifles without paperwork? And if so, why do you think that?

There can be fully automatic and semi automatic assault rifles. The semi automatic type, I say yes. The fully automatic type, I say 18 and over only with a little paperwork. My view on how guns should work is this:
1. Shotguns and semi automatic rifles-minors can purchase with no paperwork, these are just tools
2. Pistols and fully automatic rifles-adults(18) only with paperwork just for determining if the person has a history of violent crime(no addresses-addresses tell the government where to go if they ever decide to take away guns). These guns are tools as well, however, require more maturity to operate safely.

None, what if a person cannot walk? Will they never become a man? Furthermore, you said how many roads must a MAN walk down before you can call him a man. The way you stated the question, the person was already called a man because you referred to him as such.

Hunting, defense, sport. On a side note, collection is a common reason to own guns.

2. Pistols and fully automatic rifles-adults(18) only with paperwork just for determining if the person has a history of violent crime(no addresses-addresses tell the government where to go if they ever decide to take away guns). You have to use the right tool for the right job. Saying that is like saying I am going to fix my glass cabinet with a jackhammer. A fully automatic assault rifle is a tool for defense and recreation. Though it is rare in the case of defense. These are also collected.
