Welcome to Political Now.
In this issue of Political Now, we will discuss the following...

CONTENTS:
1) Statistics on Welfare
2) RFID Chips. Is Obamacare Hiding Something?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Statistics on Welfare:

Contrary to popular believe, the Military does not make up the largest chunk of federal spending.

Welfare, at $746 billion on a Federal Level + $282 billion on a State Level, is the single largest expanse in the budget. Welfare has increased 32% over the past 4 years.

*Welfare is referring to over 80 low-income assistance programs.

Cost of Welfare per person (Cost of Welfare / Number of American's on Welfare) = $30,674

Highest WEEKLY paycheck you can earn and still receive welfare = $250
Highest MONTHLY paycheck you can earn and still receive welfare = $1,000
Highest YEARLY paycheck you can earn and still receive welfare = $12,000

Average monthly Welfare check = $366
Additional pay per child = $80
Average monthly Food stamp pay = $133

RFID Chips: Is Obamacare Hiding Something?

For the past few years, a rumor has been spreading that Obama Care will force everyone to have RFID Chips implanted. It's referred to as the Medical Device Registry.

These chips would hold all your information and act as a GPS for the Government to use in tracking you.

The Registry was from the bill H.R. 3200, which wasn't passed. The Registry isn't listed in the new, reformed bills, H.R. 3590 and H.R. 4872. Another issue with the rumor is that the Registry never mentioned having a chip implanted. It was referring to a registry of implants, such as a knee replacement or a heart implant.

Although we don't approve of Obama Care, this theory is nothing more than a bad interpretation.

1) By your definition, military spending = welfare, since military spending is meant to protect the WELFARE of the people.

That's a misinterpretation of the definition of government Welfare... Two different types of Welfare..

Government Welfare pays people in place of a proper paycheck when they can not obtain prior mentioned paycheck.

Military protects your well-being.

You using a broad definition to define two different things...
A is apart of C, B is apart of C, therefore A = B... Quite fallacious thinking.

One is Low-Income Assistance, the other is National Defense.

If we include an "expanded" budget for defence as you've done for welfare, then the cost of the defence dept. is in excess of a trillion dollars, up to 1.4. So I'm confused at the numbers.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach him how to be Gay, he'll positively influence the GDP.

These numbers are referencing only the Federal Military Spending of the National Armed Forces. The numbers of Welfare reference all national Welfare. This is because all national welfare is the welfare in question, while only the Federal Government funded Armed Forces make up 'The US Army' in question.

I'm comparing the Nations total welfare to the National's Government's Military spending. It'd be Cherry Picking if I was comparing welfare to total defense budget, but left out half the defense programs, but I'm not. It's only being compared to Army, Navy, Air Force, etc... Not to Military, police, state troopers, etc... Because the those aren't Army related.

Low-Income Assistance is not that broad a term, Defense is.
