It's not as big an issue as it seems. The US is just following past precedence by continuing to encroach upon Russia's sphere of influence. And of course there is no danger of nuclear war as the US never takes on nuclear armed countries that could potentially fight back to a stalemate. Dog forbid!

Economic sanctions against Russia? Would world opinion be sufficiently slanted toward the US's objectives? Perhaps not anymore.

If anyone is interested in the story from the other side it can be found at RT.com.

Are you kidding? That's stupid. First off the only 2 nuclear nations that the US aren't Allies with is Russia and China (North Korea still doesn't count since their nukes are piss and even if you did the US most certainly would "take them on" if they ever tried anything with South Korea) and the US and china are econmical butt buddies so why would we ever want a conflict with one another. So the only nuclear power the US MIGHT "take on" would be Russia. And I'm pretty sure Russia had nukes during that whole 40-50 year long conflict called the Cold War. Your BS statement is unfounded and unrealistic and shows utter ignorance.

The "other side" has so many lies and BS coverup they can't even keep them all straight between the different news groups. I mean seriously I was watching some of those Russian stations and reading their stories and the crap they are spinning is so unimaginably unbelievable that the fact that the Russian populace is buying it is outrageous. Then again we are talking about Russia and they aren't very famous for their free thinking and individual intellect are they? I loved the one story about how 600,000 Russian speaking Ukrainians have fleed to Russia. Right... Soooo... Where are they now? Where did they go? Who are they, what are they doing, where did they come from, how come the Ukraine hadn't reported or even noticed 600,000 of its people missing? You know. Things that people notice when there's a mass "refugee" movement such as this. Or that one where 20,000 radical Ukrainian ultranationalist started the war when THEY invaded Russia and destoyed an entire city killing thousands right after Yanukovych was ousted. And of course this attack was ordered by the US and European powers.

Yeah buddy. Listening to the "other side" sure is enlightening. If we want a first class lesson in manipulation, propaganda, lies, and deception. Something Russia IS famous for.
