Hi, I'm back from my trip. Hope everyone missed me.

I came across this video on a blog and while I missed Palin's teabagger speech, if this is any indication of how it went, then God help the USA.

This woman is either insane or an idiot. You decide, but she cannot be anything else. To suggest that Obama would start a war with Iran - a war she would support, as is indicated by her "he needs to step up" line - in order to keep himself in power, is so cynically stupid, that I am beginning to wonder why Alaska didn't disappear into some sort of black hole of idiocy when she was in charge for her half-term.

Granted, it almost seems like common sense from the right-winger's view, but honestly, how can anyone support her when she says things like this? I know its been asked a million times, but honestly, I still don't understand how she manages it.

I wouldn't say she is insane. An idiot quite often, yes, but not insane.
in the blink of an eye you finally see the light

Lesser of two evils.

I'd vote for Palin.

Will you be pinching your nose when you do?

I understand the she's-better-than-Obama thing, but I have a hard time seeing you vote for this neo-con. You better work in the primaries to push through someone else.

I've never heard of that figure of speech before. But I assure you I won't be pleased with myself.

I'm hoping for Gary Johnson or Paul Ryan, but it's a long shot. We're probably gonna end up with neo-con lite.

Oh, I thought it originated in the US. You can guess what it means though. And I suppose the proper term is "hold your nose" - it just loses its flair when typing.

Johnson is a long shot, though you never know. I don't know Paul Ryan though.

Paul Ryan is the Ranking Republican of the Budget Committee for the House. I feel as though he's the only person in Congress who proposes anything. If it wasn't for him, the GOP could rightfully be labeled the party of NO. He presents the alternative GOP plans to everything, literally everything. He's young and good-looking, which is irrelevant, but people tend to vote for younger and good-looking people. I'm not so sure he'd be willing to run in 2012 though. Mitch Daniels, the Governor of Indiana, is another person I wouldn't mind.

Interesting stuff. He does seem knowledgeable from a quick glance over, though I'll have to check him out a little further. Mitch Daniels is a name I've heard batted around though. He seems like a moderate, which would be good.

However, I don't think either candidates, if they're legit, will campaign in 2012, at least not until they see the 2010 electoral results. If the GOP takes back the Senate or the House, then they might jump in. The likelihood would be greater, anyways.

Ron Paul.
It is odd when one's capacity for compassion is measured not in what he is willing to do by his own time, effort, and property, but what he will force others to do with their own property instead.

Maybe not of the Union, but possibly of Texas.

Palin is awesome, I would vote for her in a heartbeat....I also think she is right about Iran, a tougher stance is necessary on Iran esecially since they acted like they were going to negotiate about enriching their uranium only to now say they are going to do it themselves? I don't think Israel will stand for that and we need to be on there side for this disaster that is about to unfold.

No offense, but you sound exactly like the stereotypical American conservative. Don't you have any original ideas to present?

Wow thanks man, no offense taken at all. I love sounding like the typical American conservative, because we actually have brains. To think some moron who obv. knows nothing about foreign policy is making fun of Palin for something as serious as this makes him look ridiculous. So, if that is the best the leftys have for making fun of Palin these days then that makes me feel good.

Now hmm original ideas, huh? I say we grow some balls and tell Iran they better hand over the Uranium before they have a NUKE dropping down on their little hidden facilities.
