Election anyone? I would call one myself if I could.

At the risk of turning this thread into one about the next Canadian federal election...

Liberals want it in fall. That's all I know for sure. Hence the stupid decisions we make now. If we make them now, we won't make as many later. Maybe...

True. He's my favourite goalie ever since Carey Price of the Canadiens screwed himself over with too much partying and started to let in goals galore.

canada...
makes me think of socialized healthcare....
and standing in line at the hospital for 8 hours so that they can treat your heart attack......

sounds like crap to me....
In the relationship between Obama and the rest of the U.S..... I think the U.S. is getting the short end of the hockey stick.

I hope you're not being serious, because if you are, you really need to do some research.

You actually need to go there and watch it happen as I did.

I will admit that it was a combination of the slow healthcare requirements and the lack of proper staff to treat the sick. They were fired for "idealistic issues" as the report reads.

Mate... I live in Canada. The hospital is just down the street from me. If someone has a heart attack, they go right to the front of the line, because that's what the triage system is - treat those in immediate and pressing danger first, and those that can wait for a bit, you treat after. This is the same system in the US with triage systems for emergencies.

I have never, ever, heard of someone waiting 8 hours for treatment for a heart attack. I've heard of misdiagnosis of serious conditions, but I hear about that in the US too. I mean, you're acting as if people are dying in the streets. If that were the case, I'd have a traffic problem outside of my house everyday!
