To quote the article: "Democracy is most commonly seen as a government in which the people have the supreme power. This is usually applied through their elected agents, otherwise known as MPs".

At the present time, this is absolutely not what is happening in the UK, and so I would have to say that the UK is absolutely NOT a democracy.

The fact that the UK Government is currently under investigation by the UN with regards to Human Rights violations serves to back up this view.

To date, over 10,000 people have been killed in the UK (not counting suicides and those who have 'disappeared from the records') as a result of the UK Government completely ignoring the needs of it's people, which can be shown here to have affected the most vulnerable citizens most.

There have been many recent satirical pieces comparing the UK Government to that of Nazi Germany in recent years, but the similarity goes far beyond a satirical joke. The level of propaganda currently being levelled against the ordinary UK population is astounding, even Goebbels would have been jealous.
