Alright, I'm not trying to start some argument between the left and the right but, as American citizens, I would enjoy hearing everyone's opinion and discussion of Barack Obama's speech on Wednesday September 10th. Was it as informative as you were expecting? Was it not? Did it send the message that the world needed to hear? If not, how could Obama make it more beneficial to the public? Any comments will contribute. I look forward to learning what others think.

He didn't write that. It's just someone's words.

I am aware of that. I am sure you still have something to say about it. For example, I think it was pure damage control with a little bit of "ISIS" info mixed in. I want to know if anyone else agrees or disagrees. I was disappointed in the speech.

He invested a lot of himself in it for just someone else's words though. With things like the bible hanging around, you should know not to take the words of powerful officials as "just words". That speech was one solid indoctrination. I thought it was marvellous to be honest, even if monstrous. The thing that stands out most, though, is that he paints the entire world as enemy to the US, then wraps it all up in US superiority. The people are bound to their government. And he mentions scientists etc. and one is reminded of that awful Milgram experiment; authority is everything. Shameless manipulation of the ignorant masses.

It was actually quite frightening. And we come from the clown that is Bush (oh, it was just some clownish behaviour that Bush decimated a nation) to this threatening beast which is Obama (f*ck, he's the same colour as the rest of the world, that dude would know) and one has to wonder just how much of it is truly innocuous. Sh*t, that reeks of good cop/bad cop psychological manipulation right there.

Anyone catch the bit at the end where he wraps up libertarianism as childish and wrong in one single inflection of tone? ..."divisions-ons-ons duhrr". I laughed besides myself anyway, lol. And there was a whole load of that: him basically writing truth with war; with the people's need of him for war.

I just don't get excited about any presidential speech. It's so staged, like watching an infomercial.

All I care about is what he actually does.

Yeah I suppose. Those speeches have a certain impunity too. I mean, I feel somewhat the raving lunatic talking about what he's actually doing. And same as I do when I talk about the bible. But they're still something frightening from my point of view. And even a sort of play on human thickness as an absolute absurdity of the world. "Evil," he says... Why not?

I suppose the world is f*cked, Mr. Parrot. Do you think there's an afterlife?

Does the world really have to make sense? Just enjoy what you have.

I'm only enthusiastic about people who have to pee all over someone else's cornflakes to justify why they are alive.

And God bless you for giving it that much, lol. :D
