I don't understand the sheer amount of hatred directed at President Obama. It seems to be a hatred of the man himself, rather than his policies.

Is there a substantial difference?
People despised Bush, too. Was it his policies or the man? Was there much of a difference?

How many people do you know that won't associate with a person (hate the man) because they believe X (policy). X can be racist, Republican, gay, arrogant, Christian, atheist, etc.
My work here is, finally, done.

It's not his fault. "The Man" didn't allow him to be president after he was elected...twice....

Incorrect. The culture war will be won by the Liberals, who have control over the Democratic Party.

If the Democrats go bye bye, it will be just for a short while. It never takes long for the independents to figure out why they can't stand Republican leadership either.

We will just keep flip flopping between the two parties like we have unless the Repubs never see the writing on the wall and don't move their platform to more closely mirror the social changes happening. IE: gay marriage, min wage, etc.

Is it possible that the Democratic party dissolves over the next decade and we see Libertarians and Conservatives duke it out for a while?
