OMG wow. I need to quit posting in forums when I'm soooo tired.
I apologize to all of you who read this post before and wasted their time.
My question was supposed to be.

Which is more harmful to society, regulated drug use or drug prohibition.

I wondered - because "use" and "abuse" can be the same thing... Depends on who you talk to.

Drugs save an enormous number of lives. I still may not understand what you mean, because "drug prohibition" - surely you don't mean prohibiting all drugs...?

I don't see how 'regulated drug use' can really be all that harmful to society. What society would do away with all that?

Do you mean that, in the case of the United States, we are prohibiting certain drugs that would give us more benefit than our prohibition of them?
