Well had I voted in the last midterms I would have been 10 times more angry than I was when I quit voting 20 years ago. There is no difference in the parties. It is business as usual. A 1.1 trillion dollar spending bill that funds everything the Republicans said they would vote against. The Republican Party is just a ruse for the low information voter. They give the appearance of a different position and a pro capitalist position. But in the end it's just more debt and more regulation and more tyranny and more socialism . They sell out and cave every time. When I say this people always say the same thing. "You have to vote and get involved." Oh ya, and how would voting and getting involved help when the Party that is supposedly running on a platform that it never intends to follow but only stab it's constituency in the back going to help? As an individual, as it has been since the beginning of time "You are on your own and the only thing you can do is hide your wealth as best you can and spit in the faces of those who work for govt. It is they who enforce the tyranny of govt, not the govt itself. I have more respect for the Democrat party, at least they tell you to your face they are going to mire you in tyranny, oppression and regulation and strip you of your wealth and do a damn good job of it. But at least they are honest about their position and follow through, with the full support and help of the Republican party at that.
It's not your views that divide us, it's what you think my views should be that divides us.

If you think I will give up my rights and forsake social etiquette to make you "FEEL" better you are sadly mistaken

If liberal democrats would just stop shooting people gun violence would drop by 90%

I agree. We basically have a one party system masquerading as two. That's just my opinion though.

While I acknowledge the problems in our system, I don't think that a plethora of parties would be a good solution.

When you have, say, 10 different parties, they tend to start representing their ideological factions and special interests rather than what's good for the public in general.

Just my thoughts.
