Are people just making up kinds of sexuality today?

I hear the terms "genderqueer" and "pansexual" thrown around as if they are just as normal as being straight. I'm all for gay rights, but this whole gender/sexuality thing is getting out of hand.

Genderqueer- Androgynous, non binary, or else not really identifying with a specific gender.
Pansexual- Stupid and redundant term for bisexual.

I'm starting to think all these new sexualities are made up so people can get attention.

"Pansexual" is a word for bisexuals who are too special to call themselves bisexual.
"Genderqueer" is a word for people who don't like genders.
"Intersex" is a legitimate medical condition which basically means you either have mixed sex organs or they don't match your biological gender.

I find this to be offensive. I concider myself pansexual which is simply that I'm attracted to all genders, that or I'm gender blind.

A person's sexual preference does not need to be public, keep it in the bedroom. Consensual contact between adults is nobody else's business.

The government should treat everyone as an individual without regard to who a person shares a bed with.

However your response was redicuilous and blatant. My was accurate. Here are their definitions

Bisexuality- Bisexuality is romantic attraction, sexual attraction or sexual behavior toward both males and females.

Pansexuality- Pansexuality, or omnisexuality, is sexual attraction, sexual desire, romantic love, or emotional attraction toward people of any sex or gender identity. Self-identified pansexuals may consider pansexuality a sexual orientation, and refer to themselves as gender-blind, asserting that gender and sex are insignificant or irrelevant in determining whether they will be sexually attracted to others.

It's still pansexual for some reason. I started out only liking shemales and females and was pointed there, but I gradualy grew into liking other guys as well.

Lannan is certainly making himself (oh no a pronoun) out to be the resident expert here.

On a somewhat related note, I had a conversation with a girl on OKCupid this morning who explained to me the difference between polyamorous and swinging. Polyamorous people apparently have more than just physical relationships with their partners, while swingers are just "wife-swapping" and the like with only physical attraction and no emotional involvement. I still am a little fuzzy how the polyamorous person expects to maintain such emotional relationships with multiple people, apparently the girl I was talking to views her main squeeze as the only permanent, committed (if that word has any meaning) one.
Beliefs in a nutshell:
- The Ends never justify the Means.
- Objectivity is secondary to subjectivity.
- The War on Drugs is the worst policy in the U.S.
- Most people worship technology as a religion.
