It's funny how leftists go all-out on Fox News and rant about how biased they think it is and how it's ruining the world. Yet there are a plethora of left-wing news outlets that far outnumber right-wing ones, such as NBC, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS (just to name a few). Leftists who constantly criticize Fox News but ignore all the other biased news outlets are hypocrites.

It is simple, their news outlets suck. Who would deny it? Who has higher ratings MSNBC or Fox News? I don't like either but I do pay attention to the ratings. In many cases, they don't want any opposing news outlets that will attack their agenda.

All of those news outlets have a bias, modern America doesn't want the news reported any more, to be just reported without any commentators that is. Instead we want elaborate stories and anchors becoming sentimental while stating their opinion over the facts with their own personal opinions rather than just stating the facts.
WILL NOT BE REMOVED UNTIL:
#1. I have met 10 people worth discussing with on DDO who are not interested in ideological or romantic visions of the world we all live in.
#2. 10 people admit they have no interest in any one else's opinion other than their own.
#3. 10 people admit they are products of their environment and their ideas derive from said environment rather than doing any serious critical thinking and search for answers themselves.

I agree. Opinions should at least be made when the news isn't being reported at all, or should just be rid of altogether.

I'm not a leftist, and that's one of my favorite things to do. Fox News is so badly biased and laced with propaganda that I feel a sense of literal pain when forced to watch or listen to it.

Yet there are a plethora of left-wing news outlets that far outnumber right-wing ones, such as NBC, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS (just to name a few).

Yes, they have their biases. So much that I don't watch them either. But you need to realize that Fox news is on an entirely different level. The fact that so many people listen to what is said on that network and take it seriously actually frightens me.

Leftists who constantly criticize Fox News but ignore all the other biased news outlets are hypocrites.

Yes, that's true. It also doesn't make Fox News any less revolting when it comes to journalistic standards.

When you get right down to it, real news isn't watched, it's read. Any TV new network exists primarily to entertain and manipulate you. If anyone wants to understand what is going on in the world around them, they need to read, and they need to read widely. If someone wants to remain painfully ignorant of world affairs and history (I'm really not exaggerating here; I'm quite serious), then they should watch Fox News exclusively.

The aforementioned news outlets are biased. No argument there. Fox on the other hand is just a non-stop bitchfest.

Is Fox News really that bad, or are we talking about O'Rielly, Hannity, Beck, etc. ?
Similarly, is MSNBC that bad, or are we talking about Schultz, Maddow, etc. ?

In other words, is the daytime news segments often wrong?
Sure there is bias in what is reported, but what is reported, is it false?

Objective reality, to Fox, has a well known liberal bias.

Their biggest blind spot is probably religion.

Keep in mind that the actual news reporting makes up a minority of the overall broadcasting. The majority is opinion on current events. In Fox News' case, things said in the opinion pieces are then referenced in the news reporting as "some are saying so and so about this." And, yes, it is a fact that their pundits said whatever about the situation being reported.

As for falsities, Fox News has twice gotten the party affiliation wrong on politicians being caught in some wrongdoing-- both times the person was labelled a Democrat when both were in fact Republicans.

Also, Fox News won a lawsuit from one of its former reporters by using the defense that it is not a news network but actually an entertainment network.

Only one network has gone to court to argue they that have a right to distort and falsify the 'news'. They won.

"In February 2003, a Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with an assertion by FOX News that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States."

It's funny how ad hominem and tu quoque are the only defense options for Faux News.
It goes beyond bias. Every news outlet is biased. Fox, however, is biased to the point of untrustworthiness and misinformation.
