What do you guys believe is the ideal form of government? I'm extremely undecided on this issue, to say the least, but I'm leaning in favor of a constitutional monarchy with a republican democracy. I believe some kind of symbolic head of state is very beneficial, at least.

What say you?

Ideal as in the best government that can be imagined, or ideal as in the best government that could plausibly be real?

Most ideal form of government that can be imagined is the minimalist government.

Ideal: Anarchal capitalism

But I will support, most any form of minimal government with private property rights and personal freedom.

My father says that the best type of government is when I command and others obey. lol (its a joke)

I think the best kind of government would be where people gather in interest groups, where each group protects the interests of its members and shall enter into agreement with the other groups to create laws for all people. (true republic)

However, it doesn't say there can't be a small mix of things like Capitalism and Socialism. So you can have things like private property and the like.

The best that could plausibly be real. An ideal as in something to strive for, not something unimaginable like a government that is in direct communion with a computer that knows everything and can calculate what is the best decision and makes every decision based off what it says

The second part seems more policyish rather than structured. Like, if Europe wanted to drop their socialist programs, they could do so. So my question is would you structure the state in such a way to make that impossible? Like have national health care in the constitution or something?

It would be a strange thing to see after living in our own political world for so long a situation where it's the rightists disliking the constitution. As opposed to worshipping it.

When you say rights, do you believe them as matter of consequence or that they actually exist? What I mean is, a lot of people think that it would be better if we *recognized* healthcare as a right, so if the state says so. But in your mind, do they *actually* exist?

Many people do not work in order to receive the income distribution, businesses close because of high taxes and strikes with absurd demands.
People have their farms invaded by groups linked to the government, asking for land redistribution, after the redistribution, they sell the farm and go invade other.

I just consider the basic human rights over all. As well as adding things such as the right to education, healthcare, and what I call "Access" ( wifi and the such. The modern world is built on it )
When you say rights, do you believe them as matter of consequence or that they actually exist? What I mean is, a lot of people think that it would be better if we *recognized* healthcare as a right, so if the state says so. But in your mind, do they *actually* exist?
Do I think the right to healthcare exists right now? Depends on how much money you have, do I think it should stay like that? No, I think everyone should have access to healthcare.
Same goes for education, and for "access"

Brazil

Its hard to call Brazil much of a true socialist country, when its already well known there is indeed massive political and police corruption. Whats happening there is horrible, and isn't the fault of socialism. Its even against the definition of socialism.

Socialism " a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole. " The money isn't going towards the people, its ending up in the pockets of people with private interest. You do not live in a democratic socialist country.

Ideal?

Democratic Socialism

Why would you want socialism.

Why wouldn't I?

Things like:

- Collective ownership, nothing is more yours.
- No more social classes, you gonna born and die a worker.
- Division of individual profits, you produce 10 and get 5, others produce 3 and gets 5.
- Social engineering.

- Free medical care
- Free college education
- Little Wealth Inequality

For free? Doctors and teachers will not be paid for their work?
If you collect taxes, will not be for free, only monopolized by the government.
In an organized government, how is this bad?
However, it doesn't say there can't be a small mix of things like Capitalism and Socialism. So you can have things like private property and the like.

I live in a social democratic country, and tell you that it worsens the lives of everyone, with the exception of politicians.
Many people do not work in order to receive the income distribution, businesses close because of high taxes and strikes with absurd demands.
People have their farms invaded by groups linked to the government, asking for land redistribution, after the redistribution, they sell the farm and go invade other.

What country do you live in? That is a very important detail.

It's democratic because we vote for or leaders and some laws.
Is socialist because it has policies to redistribute income, assistance to the poor, worker protection, involvement of social organizations and more than half of the political parties are socialists.

Don't use the fallacy of the "true Scotsman", the socialism in practice causes all this problems.

What do you guys believe is the ideal form of government? I'm extremely undecided on this issue, to say the least, but I'm leaning in favor of a constitutional monarchy with a republican democracy. I believe some kind of symbolic head of state is very beneficial, at least.

What say you?
