Like the article said, this really only made sense with diseases like chicken pox that are harmless in childhood but more serious if contracted as an adult. And it's especially moronic to do this if there is a vaccine available for the disease.

Side note: I never contracted chicken pox as a kid, so now I'm terrified of small children who I even slightly suspect may have it.
