Rand Paul came out with his new book yesterday and his title is exactly what it did as he intended to show why he is a different Republican canidate. Let's observe the highlights.

On the environment: "You"ll find I"m a tree hugger, literally .R01;.R01;. I"m a Republican who wants clean air, clean water, and the life-extending miracle of electricity. I compost."

On Wall Street: "Only in a world of crony capitalism would bankers whose faulty decisions caused bankruptcy be allowed to cash out as the middle class absorbs the losses."

On his party: "Right now, the Republican brand sucks. I promised Reince Priebus, the chairman of the Republican National Committee, that I would stop saying the GOP sucks, and I will (except for this last time)."

On racial minorities: "I want a New GOP that resonates with America, that looks like America " white and black. .R01;.R01;. The face of the Republican Party should not be about suppressing the vote but about enhancing the vote."

On Ferguson, Mo.: "[T]housands of peaceful protesters were met with rubber bullets, tear gas, and a police department that showed up at the protest in gear more fitting for Fallujah or Kandahar."

On drug sentencing: "We should free those who are in jail under the old guidelines. Our prisons are bursting with young men " and women " who are poor or of color."

Sure the rest was filled with his "Audit the Fed", Lower taxes, repeal ObamaCare redict, but he still made some absurb claims for a Republican. (http://blogs.reuters.com...)

Thoughts and/or opinions?

Ahem -- a "tree-hugger" who vehemently denies AGW.

Says the guy who wants to audit the Fed. Ew.

I agree with him on the "GOP sucks" part. Nothing else (I mean, he seems like an innocent defender of EP, except he vehemently denies AGW).

It's funny, because in his book "Government Bullies" he defended Big Business.

I really don't think a lot of that is the real Rand Paul though.

I've no idea about Kerry's positions ... but at a first glance, the Democrats seem as bad as most of the GOP.

Surprisingly, I agree with most of Jeb Bush's positions--his AGW stance is surprisingly pragmatic and nice for a Republican, his policy of affirmative action is pretty good--work on slowly removing it, but retain it for welfare programs, economic status, etc.; but his Keystone XL and fracking are the parts where I disagree.
#DownWithKeystoneXL
#DownWithFracking

Gun control--almost the same position, albeit an AW ban would be good.

Hillary Clinton's fiscal policy is meh. She hasn't said anything about tax cuts, means she supports the classic liberal stance of raising them, she supports the estate tax ... She supports the frickin fiscal stimulus!

But, her domestic policy is awesome. She "supports energy conservation, releasing oil reserves, increasing the number of hydrogen-powered vehicles, and ratification of the Kyoto Protocol. She opposes drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the Bush administration's energy policy." [http://en.wikipedia.org...]

Her efficient green economy plans are amazing, simply amazing.

But, then again, she's also a social centrist, not a social liberal as I would like. She supports the death penalty, is for school prayer, etc. But she supports AGW.

My, my, she's crazily mixed up. I might actually be pro Clinton.
