Yeah, the civil rights litigation that's going to come from this, and that's already pending, is going to be the sexiest in Chicago's history.

Sexy. There are already a shitton of lawsuits associated with it, and there is going to be even more as more facts come out.

I mean, what went on here is something like you'd expect the Stazi to to in the DDR, or the KGB is Soviet Russia.

The fact that these lawsuits are even necessarily seems more ugly than sexy.

Ehhhhhh.... I don't know that I agree with that. Lawsuits like these lead to institutional changes, if done correctly, that can really reform police departments. Horrible sh1t happens that the police do all the time, and that's always been the case. Police, as a rule, act like thugs as often as they "protect and serve." However, lawsuits like these put them in their place.

I still wouldn't call them sexy. Necessary, yes. Sexy...not really...

Agreed.

We'll see if major reform does come out of it....

I'm not too optimistic though. I'm sure they'll be paying a metric crapton of money though.

I would put money on nothing coming out of this. Chicago cops are dickholes upholding the city's time honored tradition of institutionalized corruption. The torture story has barely played out after a decade and this story broke a few months ago. Plus winter is almost here so people will be too busy arguing about dibs to give a crap
We gonna pull up like the ice cream truck
