Series on Politics and the Academy

In the coming months, I'm going to write a series of posts about politics and education, and examine the political implications of academic culture on society. Every field of academic study has some political implications, but the political implications of, different fields are vastly different. For example, engineering has a vastly different political impact on society than, for example, social science.

The preliminary list of subjects I'm going to talk about is this:

Postmodern Philosophy (and the fields it touches)
Ideologically Driven Social Sciences
Psychology
Empirical Political Science

Engineering
Medicine
The Natural Sciences
Math

There will be more to come, presumably, as the series develops.
