The average American spends about 4 hours in front of the television.

Is that really a commercial?

If it is, the point is that the little girl will have to pay back that debt when she grows up.
Should we subsidize education?

The negative ads are highly varied and while the nastier ones are on the Republican side of it, they are all throwing mud. Kagen and Feingold are the Dem incumbents and the challengers are Scott Walker and Ron Johnson. These guys are selling themselves to the teaparty crowd and they are rich, so they have very sophisticated looking ads during the day and lots of smear ads at night. All the Reps keep saying is jobs jobs jobs, which pisses off someone like me who doesn't think more jobs is really what we need. But anway, they are telling people what they want to hear and I'm pretty sure the Reps are going to pull it off.

I guess I'm not as concerned about political ads as I am about how messed up it is that money is such a HUGE part of how you get elected; there really is no other qualifying characteristic other than the dollar bill. And lumping that in with the fact that these filthy rich c0cksvckers are going to achieve positions of supreme power by promising us more menial positions of servitude at the expense of our environment, schools, health care, infrastructure, etc and probably use it to put money where they are going to be positioned to capitalize off it... just infuriating.

I don't watch tv too much. Negative is the new positive in politics.
