Recent post from the Washington Post attacks Ted Cruz's Children where it depicts his children as Monkey's working for Cruz. His children really aren't apart of this campaign despite they're in his ads. Can you imagine the preasure that his children have to go through now that their friends think that they're monkey's. What would the mother look like? To make things worse they post it on Twitter and include an article on organ grinders in Washington at the turn of the 20th century. (http://www.nbcnews.com...)

What are your thoughts?

I hate Ted Cruz, but this is absolute nonsense, and I feel bad their family has to go through this crap.

I replied to you poll too... Yea, no kids - its a precedent that has been set, and should be kept to.

However, it is Cruz that opened this door. He has a history of using his kids as props. Not just having the kids around on stage etc. He has used them in attack ads etc. I think Cruz himself should be ashamed at how he exploits children

Well everything from reading Green Eggs and Ham in Congress to his children to his Anti-Clinton Campaign ad of Reading Christmas books to his children. I agree that this is absurd.

Right? Again, I am not excusing this cartoon, but have a hard time accepting his "outrage" in this case

Well they could have attack him or right an article outraged about it, but the cartoon was completely uncalled for.

They could've took a better route by criticizing him for using his kids instead of including his kids in their own cartoon. You don't bring someone else's kids into your problems, sort of an unspoken rule.

What's the problem? That they drew the kids as monkeys? Is that offensive in some way? If it were me, I might have drawn it with Cruz as one of those pageant moms and left the kids as humans. I doubt that would have been any less "offensive" to Cruz. Drawing kids as performing monkeys when Cruz is the very clear subject of the criticism isn't insulting to the kids. This is ridiculous. This is no more legitimate than the hypersensitivity that is so often exhibited on the liberal side.

Just to be clear: that comic is attacking Cruz for using his kids for personal gain. His children are not being attacked in that cartoon.

When a politician brings any family member on the campaign stage, those family members, kids and wife included, are fair game.
