Jiggs McDonald, NHL Hall of Fame broadcaster speaking in Ontario, says:

"I am truly perplexed that so many of my friends are against another mosque being built in Toronto.

I think it should be the goal of every Canadian to be tolerant regardless of their religious beliefs.

Thus the mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance."

"That is why I also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque;

thereby promoting tolerance from within the mosque.

We could call one of the clubs, which would be gay, '

The Turban Cowboy', and the other, a topless bar, would be called 'You Mecca Me Hot'."

"Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork, and adjacent to

that an open-pit barbecue pork restaurant, called 'Iraq of Ribs'."

"Across the street there could be a lingerie store called 'Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret',

with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods,

and on the other side a liquor store called 'Morehammered'."

"All of this would encourage Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of us."

Are these Muslims assimilating? Are they "tolerating" free speech? If they cannot tolerate us and our freedoms, we cannot tolerate them.

- I am sure you would advocate constructing a strip-club & whorehouse under St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York, called "**** Jesus"! I am sure that's what a lot of Canadians are thinking!

Yassine - I have a intense dislike for Gritty and this jerk. I find their reasons for disliking Islam childish and generated by tribalism. I think they are a danger to me, and sane life.

- It may be funny to you, but it isn't to someone who believes in sanctity, you don't. Places of worship are sanctified spaces for the believers, it would be humiliating & denigrating to purposely violate that sanctity.

So. Anything that is not sanctified can't exist within 100 yards? 1000 yards? Where is the boundary?

This sounds similar to a discussion of a certain mosque in NY a little too close to the world trade center.

It's satire and not to be taken literally. I thought you were different than most Muslims. I thought you had a sense of humour. There should be a strip club across the street form a church in Pakistan, if it hasn't been burned down by a mob, called "Stripping for Jesus"

Well, they look much more prone to actively hurt muslims than someone who wants to be left alone. To society? I despise hypocrisy above all, for it creates delusion, & ignorance, for it creates confusion. The bunch are bonafide hypocrites & ignorants, the complex type of ignorants unwilling to learn or change. I'd say, they are more dangerous to society.

Well.... There is nothing positive I have found in any bit of the religion I have run across. The people (adherents) have caused me personal problem (loss) just not as much as Christians at this point. Not one net positive have come from Islam - not to me.

If a strip club were put outside of a Christian church, I'd simply smirk and go on. Freedom of speech, plus I believe in Christ, not a building. The difference is, Muslims would call for World War III and become violent because they take crap like that seriously, to the point of assault, where the majority of Christians are more personally spiritual, considering it more of a personal thing, where Muslims are more "religious" and "superstitious", and will arm up in large numbers ready fora physical confrontation and actually welcoming it to sooth Allah's unmerciful, intolerant, wrath on the unbelievers!

Christians have been a personal physical danger to me for a good deal of my life. They are more personally dangerous than Muslims have been.

Well.... There is nothing positive I have found in any bit of the religion I have run across.

Seems that is begging the question. Why not? You have talked plenty. I have known a fair number. I live in the world with everyone else. Why is it that I can't find one redeeming point?

The people (adherents) have caused me personal problem (loss) just not as much as Christians at this point.

American law? Americans have caused me plenty of personal problems, I call them all out wherever and whomever they are. Islams have caused me problems, and I call them out too. Where is the issue with that?

Not one net positive have come from Islam - not to me.

Janis, I know a couple, is a religion that even an atheists can't dislike.

I've stated many times I'm not. I was brought up in it but don't practice it. It is much easier for a person in the West to lose the label "Christian" than it is for a lapsed Muslim to lose the "Muslim" label.

If you like I will tell you exactly why Islam is so disliked in the west. Not today though, because I'm recovering from a Christmas hangover.

Thank you. I will tell you without being insulting. Believe it or not some of the anger expressed towards Islam has to do with political correctness and our own governments.

Christians have been a personal physical danger to me for a good deal of my life. They are more personally dangerous than Muslims have been.

- OK.

Seems that is begging the question. Why not? You have talked plenty. I have known a fair number. I live in the world with everyone else. Why is it that I can't find one redeeming point?

- So, you know a fair number of points, though not one redeeming therein. Why don't you cite these points for me, so I may know what you consider to be non redeeming.

American law? Americans have caused me plenty of personal problems, I call them all out wherever and whomever they are.

- But does what Americans do to you make you dislike American Law?

Islams have caused me problems, and I call them out too. Where is the issue with that?

- You mean Muslims? Well, if Muslims cause you problem why does that make you dislike Islam?

Janis, I know a couple, is a religion that even an atheists can't dislike.

- That's the point. Suppose Jainism had not one net positive on you personally, why would you dislike the religion! You wouldn't. Then, if, as you said, Islam had not one net positive net on you personally, why then dislike the religion?!

- Also, what makes you not dislike Jainism?

I've stated many times I'm not. I was brought up in it but don't practice it. It is much easier for a person in the West to lose the label "Christian" than it is for a lapsed Muslim to lose the "Muslim" label.

- But, don't you believe in Jesus & the Bible? How are you not Christian?

Thank you. I will tell you without being insulting. Believe it or not some of the anger expressed towards Islam has to do with political correctness and our own governments.

- Well, I'd like to help with that if I can.
