If you click on this link, you can see that Ben Carson was talking about why the USA shouldn't accept syrian refugees. The only problem here is that it's evident he's manipulating statistics to his own benefit of making a point.

Apparently he is just another politician that manipulates stats, like most before him.

I saw not one stat that was wrong.
I saw a map that had a very strange error, but, since nothing was mentioned about the facts of the map, only its layout, I see no manipulation of stats, as you accuse.
My work here is, finally, done.

The fact that New England was distorted shows that Ben Carson was just making up a fake map. If it were real, it would be accurate.

Is that a material factor in the validity of the map? It's not like New England was there twice, distorting the data.
Is the information wrong? Is it manipulation? It's not. Further, the mistake is easy to see and understand what happened, and, more importantly, does not affect the information on the map.

Hell, I'd hate to think if I made a map and Florida was just a little too disproportionate in size....

I beg to differ... the map is simply a method of presenting the stats. Poor presentation doesn't say anything about the truth or falsity of the underlying data. All we can say is that he's a bad cartographer, not that he's a bad statistician.
