Why, it's mostly junk and catalogues for stuff they can't afford.

Abolish USPS means less taxes. Means people can pay for their mail.

Poor poor-people :(

Hint for bluesteel: Sieben is being sarcastic, he is an extreme capitalist and doesn't really care about poor people.

In the Socialist sense that giving them everything they might possibly need is caring for them, no.

The mails? dunno wtf you talkin bout.
It came to be at its height. It was commanded to command. It was a capital before its first stone was laid. It was a monument to the spirit of man.

Poor people are ridiculous. Poverty should be classified as a mental disease. That's why I support capitalism, because poor people don't matter.

Yeah really. How mentally unstable a person is if he can't find a job. Or if his qualifications don't permit him to earn the minimum he requires. They should place them in an mental asylum.

No you support capitalism because you have never known any other way. It doesn't make you a bad person, it just makes you impressionable.

Exactly! The less poor people there are, the richer society will be.

Exactly! The status quo is pretty capitalist. Now only if we could get rid of those welfare programs, we would have a perfect capitalist utopia.

Hmm, when you used to identify as a democratic socialist yourself, is that what you believed in panda?

People criticise Freedo for constantly changing his political opinions, but in fact he's stayed mostly around the libertarian left, just applied a whole lot of different labels to himself. People like you, Insert and Cody have had much more dramatic changes of opinion since joining this site, Cody at least moving in the right direction vertically.

It has actually taught me a lot about my own prejudice and bias. When you and Insert had opinions closer to my own, I tended to credit you with more insight and intelligence than I do now that I just see you parroting the same right wing economic mantras we hear so much of on here.

Yep.

I moved to the right economically, stayed along the same vertical axis though.

You'd rather me play devils advocate than espouse logic :P?

To be honest I'm making more of a shift towards pragmatism rather than being idealistic. But it takes hours of debating myself internally.

This is not a bad Idea, but it has become more of a tradition. It played a role when industry was not adequate enough to handle it, but like I said it is tradition now. We should keep it, but minimize.
