Why anyone would want the job of president of the United States when the country has so many problems that appear beyond the ability of any human being to correct is really hard to comprehend.
Perhaps Ted Cruz feels that history has called him to be the heroic figure who appears in history every once in awhile to save a country from its downward path to dissolution just as Ronald Reagan was when the citizens had lost their faith in America's greatness and he relighted that belief and faith in their country once again.
.America has been attacked from within by the countries enemies which have been working stealthy undermining its government by infiltration of government, education, labor unions and America's religious organizations ever since the era of Franklin D.Roosevelt's presidency.
America's time for a hero to come upon the stage and save the country from certain doom is now, if America is fortunate, Ted Cruz just might be such a man..

Cruz's major supporters are Evangelicals, climate change deniers and anti-gay proponents. He has aligned himself with the likes of the Family Research Council and Vision America with Rick Scarborough; hard core radicals. These people believe that AIDS is God's wrath against gays, and anti-gay Christians are an inspiration for ISIS. Cruz wishes to eliminate the teaching of gay acceptance in public schools. Cruz sees it as indoctrination against conservative Christian values and wants to start an anti-gay Jihad. On foreign policy, he has supports the tearing up the Iran nuclear deal on his first day in office and wants to carpet-bomb the Islamic State. He is also resurrecting McCarthyism "there is a communist under every bed." He claims communist have infiltrated the US government and Harvard University. Cruz wants to institute a flat tax, which sounds good at the surface but, would include those living below the poverty line that don"t currently pay taxes. Also, his tax plan would balloon the Federal deficit by another $3.6 trillion. To get the balanced budget that he insists upon, it would put the government into austerity mode. Cruz is a wack-job.

Ted Cruz is a two-face jackass who could never beat Hillary in the general election.

I can understand Peepette being disgruntled by those organizations that Peepette claimed were backers of Cruz, If Cruz only had one organization, like 'George Soros organizations such as, "Open Society Institute,"Alliance for Justice,"America"s Voice," Trinity United Church of Christ, and a few Close friends like former weather radical weathermen, like Bill Ayers,Tom Hayden,or Hanoi Jane, Fonda Jane Fonda,"Hollywood, then all these organizations that are supposedly backing Cruz, I'm quite sure that Peepette would then be more approving of Ted Cruz

Funny you say this. I read this comment differently, then someone said the same thing, and I thought, right! That is exactly what he was saying.

He also gets liberals, bankers etc. but really it is a thing about Jews. That is like classic mud.

apparently there is no good answer to this question. Judging by this year's candidates, it seems to be one of those jobs that they give to anyone who will take it.
