The postmodern left does not care about free speech. The struggle for free speech in the 60s and 70s was exactly the kind of struggle against the intellectual totalitarianism that the postmodern left has imposed on all who dissent from it now.

It's funny how people change over time, from supporting rights when they lacked power to opposing them when they gain it. Not limited to left or right.
