We have several states going for the next few days, and there really aren't enough each day to warrant new threads for each. So here we are.

Praying Bern picks up even more steam. Don't see it as likely, bit, who knows, anything can happen, right? Right?!

Unfortunately I'm not even in my state today so I probably won't be able to vote...

Make sure you check for threads on specific subjects before making one, folks.

Well, you have made every one. I think TN just wanted a turn.

Drumpf will have one win in six closed-primary states. Fairly solid argument for GOP to make all primaries/caucuses closed.

Nothing is better than keeping people from participating in democracy, and drawing people into parties.

Why should Democrats decide who the Republican nominee is? It's not stifling. You want to help decide our nominee? Great! Join the party.

I think more independents vote for Trump than Democrats, but w/e.

I did. Voted for Rubio here in FL even though Trump has a stupidly large lead

I saw. Cruz is far worse than Trump though. I wish someone else was overtaking him.

The GOP is essentially having to pick their own poison for how to die in November, and I kinda feel bad for them...... As much as a I shat on Romney and McCain in the past, id much rather have 8 years with either of them than 6 months of Trump or Cruz.

Just back from my Caucus precinct (Kansas Senate District 10) and Bernie Won 9 of the delegates and $Hillary got 5!!! The room was packed. When they split the room the Bernie supporters were already organized and took up half the gym (including the all the bleachers on that side.) On the $Hillary side of the room, supporters fit mostly on the floor, while only three rows of the bleachers were filled. Based on the count that I saw (note this was me just glancing at the official count, before they yelled at me) it was something like 2,700 for Bernie, 1,500 for $Hillary.
My friend in the 21st district said there were so many Bernie supporters, they had to move the caucus outside, and I am hearing reports from many of my friends saying Bernie has won in Lawrence, Topeka, Manhattan and Olathe.

Cruz winning Maine is a total shock. Could the non-Trump GOP base be consolidating around Cruz?

I think the debate two nights ago was turning point.

When Trump first took centerstage on national television, none of the other politicians knew how to handle him. He didn't play by their rules and threw them off balance. The debate was them getting back on their feet, studying Trump's strengths and weaknesses and attacking back. They finally matched him on an oratorical level.

All of the scandals and offensive things Trump said never hurt his support because more than anything, he was a man with charisma and rhetoric. That was the real appeal - a "strong" candidate. Once Rubio started attacking him and Kasich and Cruz started presenting themselves as stronger candidates, the support went down slightly. The only way Trump support will go down is not through his outrageous positions but through undermining his charisma and leadership qualities.

And incredibly charismatic though Trump might be, his armor is not without its chinks. Trump does fudge numbers and doesn't have solid policy proposals. Fox news moderators contributed to the debate being skewed against him. Once they brought up specific numbers in response to his claims, he looked a lot worse than normal when he just throws the numbers in the air and no one contradicts him.

Trump also has a very predictable campaign message: My poll numbers are up, Mexico will build the wall, Muslims are banned. Once someone does their research and prepare arguments, they can take him on when they already know what's coming.

Trump is winning in Kentucky, and the Cruz lead has closed somewhat in Maine.

Maine is down to a 43-37 Cruz lead after more reporting...only at 9% reporting at the moment.

Trump's Predictit stock is plummeting. Down to 58 from its high of 84 only a week or so ago. This is hilarious. Also, Rubio is currently trailing Kasich, something which has never happened before.

Panic selling. One could probably make serious money buying on the swings

Hell just buy after any debate that Trump is in and sell a few days later, lol. It sinks every time. It's interesting that Kasich is above Rubio but I've been saying since before super tuesday that Rubio is done

Sanders is also said to have won Kansas.

Maine seems stuck for some reason. But Cruz continues doing well there. This is actually surprising. And scary.

Also the "best campaign award" has to go to Cruz, who everyone said had no chance. I remember when 538 gave their first analysis of who was likely to win the nomination and they overwhelmingly thought it would be Walker, Bush, or Rubio....lol
