I actually think the GOP's best chance to win is Trump at this point.

Rubio couldn't win his home state. Why would he win in November? Trump is the GOPs only hope, ironically.

Because he, Trump, cant pull much more than what he has - a minority of the GOP base.

It seems that the GOP will boil down to Ted Cruz vs Donald Trump. Kasich will probably drop out soon. What confuses me at the moment is although Kasich will win Ohio, why is he still in this race?

Because indepdnent centrist leaning voters are far more likely to gravitate towards Rubio in a Rubio-Clinton matchup than they would for Trump in a Trump-Clinton matchup

Ah, fair enough. I still think that Trump has enough power to beat Hillary. Its not like Trump only attracts the extremist factions, he also has the anti-establishment voters. He also isn't a politician, which some may think is a good thing.

Kasich is staying in hoping for a contested convention. Not likely to happen but can't blame him for trying I guess.

Most Rubio supporters will now back Cruz. This also makes it more likely Trump will not reach 1237 delegates. Plus Cruz at least still has an outside chance to beat Trump at the ballot box.
