Ted Cruz says so. I think I know more about foreign policy than he does, but I'm genuinely confused as to how he reached that conclusion.

The same way he decided carpet bombs on ISIS and preemptive strikes to North Korea is the way to go.

I mean I assumed as much... but statements like that can have huge significance. It appears that not only is he lying, but he's just flagrantly saying sh!t for the purpose of scaring people into voting for him.

Pretty sure most Cuban Americans are insulted by Cruz.

Idk. I'd like to think so, but I'm not Cuban-American.

Oddly enough, though, all the latinos I know don't like Cubans. They think Cubans are pretentious douches.

Not surprising, as Cubans get special naturalization privileges, and you know what happens with special, privileged, protected classes.... a recipe for systemic douchery...

In the 70s and 80s Cuba supported rebellions against US backed Dictators in El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and elsewhere, and thus the US deemed the rebels "terrorists" when the real terrorists were the CIA who armed the dictators and death squads who were killing their own people.
Cuba is now more in the peace broker business as they recently mediated a peace deal in Colombia between the government and the FARC rebels.
In other words, no

Cruz oozes rhetoric more than any politician IMO. My guess is he is tying the corrupt Cuban government to anti-Capitalist/anti-American terrorism.

Either that, or he wants to carpet bomb them.
