Looking forward to it, no question. :)

Yep! CNN is very popular, so it should get quite a bit of viewing, bipartisan, hopefully.

The only problem that it may have is that it may not be billed at the debate level, so ratings may be poor.

CNN is nicer to Trump than FOX.

I expect Trump to be hurt by this event. Being put in the spotlight in an interview when compared to four candidates who are more informed will be to his detriment.

Kasich was reasonably solid, and I think he had a bit of passion in him. Not great, but it was a rather simplistic interview.

Our media is such a joke. How is it acceptable for the airways to be saturated with nothing but election coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 1.5 years? As if there's nothing happening in the rest of the country, or the world for that matter....

Our president has just initiated a rapprochement with Cuba after 88 years, and CNN is holding 5 futile and uninformative interviews with presidential candidates.

Cruz totally avoided that question about Frank Gaffney.

I believe he outrightly said "Frank Gaffney is someone I respect" . . . I think the premise of the question "do you agree with Gaffney?" is flawed to begin with. On some subjects politicians don't really believe anything. If they think its in their interest not to reject it then they won't. Do they go through the private intellectual effort of objectively assessing the truth of those beliefs? I don't know. But do they have to? no.

The mass media are major corporations. They'll run the stories they think will be best for their ratings, which in this case means devoting a huge chunk of their airtime to election coverage, although the media might be partly responsible for fostering this appetite among their viewers.

Well it's irresponsible. They have a duty to society that supersedes financial incentives.
