1. Abortion

No one may talk about abortion in political context again. Journalists need to stop talking about it. People need to stop having political opinions about why it should be restrained.

Don't like abortion? Fine. Don't get one. Otherwise, leave it alone. No person had the right to restrict what women do with their bodies.

Individual moral opinions... whatever. That's between you and your conscience. But politically, there is no reasonable argument for why abortion should be restricted. Every argument for restriction in any form other than post-viability is unreasonable, on every conceivable level.

2. Other Social Woes

Republicans must stop passing stupid, discriminatory laws. Georgia, North Carolina, West Virginia, etc. with their anti-gay or anti-trans bills... that stops now. You are all disgraces to yourselves, and to the American political process. Not only are you doing bad things, but you are bad people, and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Maintain whatever stupid belief you like, but this must end.

Unless one is to consider state agents/enforcers people. The state definitely does have a right to restrict what women - or anyone - can do with their bodies. In a legal sense of course. It can stop you from doing w to person x, for example. Or from going to y, or taking z.

But we don't all agree on current legal rights being necessarily just. So, we can automatically assign anarchists a victory on the prior point (maybe).

Those aside, though, one can make a philosophical case for it, given that abortion is much more nuanced than other "it's your body"-type situations.

That won't cut it, it's being drilled into them that abortion is murder, and no body thinks abortion should be legal.

I think the problem is that men express and politicize their opinion on the subject. I wouldn't make it a non-political issue. I'd make it a female political issue - because, I feel, unless men are willing to stuff a whole chicken up one nostril - they really haven't got a say.

At what point, if any, in a pregnancy should abortion be illegal?

1) Do you support repeal of the federal RFRA?
2) Can you point me to a single case where a state RFRA has resulted in discrimination against gay people?
3) Do you believe religious officials should have to perform same-sex marriages? Is not, how is this any different from any other form of discrimination
