While Americans insist that their country is "democratic and free", and often use "democracy" as a bargaining chip to pressure countries like China into giving up their sovereign rights, I argue that only under China's socialist system can democracy be truly implemented. This is because America's capitalist system allows corporations to meddle with politics so that legislation reflects the interests of big businesses rather than the interests of the people. For instance, the government, under the Bush Administration, has downplayed the effects of global warming and reduced spending on climate research to satisfy the needs of big oil companies. Only in socialist states can the government be free from lobbying.

There's nothing particularly undemocratic about allowing corporate interests to influence politics. Racial, religious, and all other group interests play a role as well. Why should a particular economic role be an exception?

I'm genuinely surprised that anyone would try to use environmentalism as a defense of China.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of the will of God. The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth,
