A common misconception is that the Chinese government is undemocratic. This is untrue. It holds (in-party) elections. You select one candidate or the same candidate on a ballot, and then put it in there. It also doesn't censor free speech, only hate speech against the government. It also doesn't have propagandists.

Chinese government isn't corrupt at all. Bribery, massive propaganda programs, silencing of free speech and expression, as well as massive state projects at the behest of other people's well being - not corrupt at all.
If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there'd be a shortage of sand. - Friedman
