I have $20 on Trump breaking 50% in every state voting today and I don't think it's too unreasonable of a bet. Today is going to be absolutely glorious. I bet they will call all 5 for Trump the second the polls close

If Hillary sweeps the NE I put it at 10% odds that Bernie drops out. His path to win the nomination is hard enough already, getting shut out in the NE and needing enormous wins for the rest of the campaign might just make him hear the music

Ah, Rhode Island. I completely forgot about it. It doesn't matter though. He got blown out in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Even if he somehow wins Connecticut, since Hartford is still out and likely to go overwhelmingly for Clinton, his path to the nomination is gone.

Then it doesn't really matter. He's not keeping the margins small enough to stop her from hitting that magic number. Progressivism and liberalism are dead, at least for the next 20 years.

I think that's the wrong thing to get from this. Democratic voters, on average, are more left than they were when they elected Bill Clinton. They're trending left, just not enough to get Sanders. Don't think this wasn't a step, though.

Nope. We'll have a minimum of 4 years of Clinton's center-right a$$, and then the general public will swing back to the right again, and they won't come back for a minimum of 8 years. Possibly longer. A Clinton win guarantees the end of liberalism for at least a generation.

I don't see Trump beating Clinton unless she gets indicted. The crossover is skewed toward her, for one (19% vs 7%), and even if many Sanders supporters abstain, write him in, etc, Trump is so despised by a general electorate that it almost doesn't matter.

This evening was a decisive loss for Ted Cruz, who managed to secure precisely no delegates. The same applies for Kasich, who got a mere 5, next to Trump's taking everything else.

The fools who predicted that Trump would never be the nominee... this is one of what will be many instances of me saying "I told you so."

I was right, because I knew where the party and the people were; and you all were wrong because you did not.

Actually, Cruz won precisely 2 delegates: https://espnfivethirtyeight.files.wordpress.com...

Still, a commanding Trump win.

A sweep.

On both sides.

Looks like you'll be wrong on that.

It was already gone.

I don't think she'll win.

I don't see Trump beating Clinton unless she gets indicted. The crossover is skewed toward her, for one (19% vs 7%), and even if many Sanders supporters abstain, write him in, etc, Trump is so despised by a general electorate that it almost doesn't matter.

Clinton is pretty despised too.

Nowhere near as much. It's not even close.

I especially am amused by those who defiantly proclaimed that the FEW people who called this FROM THE DAY HE ANNOUNCED (thett and I are the only ones who come to mind) were ridiculed by those who thought they knew.

Everybody had the same stupid things to say:

Trump will never be president!
He's too loud!
He's too obnoxious!
He's not a serious candidate!
It will be Jeb!
No no no... it will be Ted!
Bah! It will be someone else!

And they had very creative and equally stupid reasons for WHY Trump would never get it... reasons only someone as dumb as a pundit could get wrong.

Why do pundits exist? I'll tell you why they exist... to make witch doctors look credible.

Here's the reality... there is only one way to know where the people are. You have to talk to them. You have to get to know them, and I did, have, and do.

When I say "the people" I mean "the folks."

These are the people that most of you never even give a passing glance to. The people who serve your food in restaurants, who fix your plumbing and brick your houses. These are the people who fix your cars and your air conditioners. These are the people who assemble our skyscrapers, and who maintain our roads.

The folks.

They are not snotty white collar suburbanites or stupid pundits. They are not your idiotic college professors who teach you to be social justice warriors, or your delusional teachers who want you to celebrate diversity for its own sake.

They are the people who make this country run. They don't give a sh!t about "rape culture," or microaggressions, or any other kind of intellectual trash you've been exposed to. They scoff at your high and mighty pretension, and your self righteousness.

They are the people who you look down on, but who are waking up to the political reality they face, and let me clue you in:

They. Hate. What. You. Believe.

...and for good reason.

They feel like the culture they once belonged too is being taken from them by left-wing progressives who emphasize "inclusiveness" and "tolerance." They are tired of slaving in jobs that would break 99/100 of you within two days, working sixty or eighty hours a week just to put food on the table to feed their kids (much less put one through college) while struggling to get by.

They hate your stupid corporate democratic whore politicians like the Clintons who sold America's once flourishing manufacturing middle class down the tanks to multinational corporations who exploit trade regulations that the companies themselves wrote to leech off of what little remains of out bifurcated culture into the "haves" and the "have nots."

And they should, because if you support a candidate like Hillary Clinton then you are supporting a candidate who put one out of every four black men behind bars, causing trans-generational deficits in Black communities, creating social conditions that overwork men and women who once belonged to the middle class to the point that they are dying younger due to stress, heart conditions, and suicide because they can't take it anymore.

They're mad as hell, and they won't take it anymore.

That is why Trump will win the 2016 election.
