Those $20 bills make illegal transactions easy. Without paper money drug pushers would have to carry 20 $1 coins for every 20 dollar bill. If a drug dealer is going to carry thousands of dollars he will have to carry thousands of coins. If you are an illegal alien or you hire them it will be obvious, because of the volume of money you will need to carry.
Honest people use a credit card to buy almost everything nowadays. So it would not be a big inconvienence for us. those other people will have to use credit cards which keep a record of every transaction.

So, it is your belief that only drug dealers work for cash?
I suppose some craigslist posters take plastic, not many.

I'm sure it's getting much easier for drug dealers to operate on the internet today so paper money will be a thing of the past for them too. Although, they do need to get educated with the latest internet technology.

True, but what about people who want to buy things with cash? Would this not burden them?

This sounds like a variation of "if you have done nothing wrong, then you have nothing to hide". I'm not convinced this is accurate. People don't like the feeling of someone spying on them, which is what happens with credit card transactions.

Also, say that people don't want to keep track of credit cards, what then?

Your idea is interesting, but obvious problems do come to mind, of which might have reasonable answers.

You don't want to hide anything from someone or group , who, by experience, have shown they have your best interest at heart and not there's. But that is not the case. That's why citizens have a reluctantance to hand over their right's to a government who they see from past experience, does not have there back. Show me one political party that offers, as their base platform, sovereignty, for the people and the nation?

Bitcoin

Why? I can't pay my property taxes with bitcoin. I need fiat monopoly money. Fiat monopoly money is valuable for that very reason.

Drug dealers don't need no stinkin' fiat money as long as there is Bitcoin - or similar.

There are some who think Gold could be a currency - that shiny yellow stuff, especially at the underground level, although that would be more difficult.

The idea is by printing all those $ 20 bills they are making it easy for criminals to do business. What paper money does is enable you to carry thousands of dollars in your pocket. You can also carry plenty of $1 coins in your pockets but if a pusher has all the coins he got during a long day of selling crack he will be walking funny and there will be bulges that will show on a security camera's tape.
Ok, he could take his coins to the little store where the owner let's you trade food stamps for cash, and the owner could write him a check which the pusher could take to the bank and deposit into his account, but when they hacked into that store owner's account they could see image files of all the checks the owner wrote to all those pushers and prostitutes that the owner did a favor for.

While other people besides drug pushers, prostitutes, and illegal aliens and the guys who hire them are not the only ones to use paper money, they are the ones who need to use it honest people can use credit cards.

You have no idea how much casual labor is cash only, no taxes being paid.
You think sellers at flea markets are reporting that income? Less than 1 percent, you can bet your paycheck on that.
Are all those people "honest"? No they are not. By definition, they are tax evaders.
Are most of them drug dealers? No, they are not.
Do you think churches and synagogues want to start taking plastic, and pay the 3 percent handling charge? Think again.

You have shown insufficient justification for such a bad idea, that so many people would object to. They don't want it, and they are not drug dealers or prostitutes.

Whether or not the churches and temples want to take plastic, they have to accept what is given to them, even if it is a check.
If you have nothing to hide you don't have a problem with carrying a bucket of $1 coins.
Now this will be a problem for the hookers you rent.

We should stop making paper money for the simple reason most of U.S. dollars don't even rest in our own country. This being said we are in for one of the biggest economy crisis to ever exist. Worse than that of the great depression. Don't believe me?

For starters, most people today don't carry more than 20 dollars on average with them. Most purchases are done by credit card/check card.

What does this mean? Most transactions are done electronically. What is the problem with this? We as Americans aren't using our U.S. Dollars while other foreign entities are. To make matters worse we don't have no gold standard no more to give our dollar any value. The only thing in which gives our dollar any value is speculation of how much gold we actually own as a country.

To go even further into this story, now other foreign countries are beginning to unite together against the U.S. Dollar. Why is this troubling? These foreign entities understand our situation perfectly and know they have complete control over the U.S.

Why do you think Saudi Arabia threatened to drop all of their investments into the U.S. government? They know we lack substance when it comes to our monetary value. Even more scary we actually conceded to Saudi Arabia by backing down to them over the new 9/11 bill tying them into the September 11th attacks.

The worst is yet to come and now it just a matter of when.
