I am currently writing an essay on whether the NHS should ration health care for individuals whose own behaviour has caused their condition. I was hoping to see some opinions both for and against the rationing of care. I am incredibly open minded to this topic and have not yet come to a strong opinion due to arguments I have seen on both sides making some clear and justified points. Sections of the discussion include the criteria the NHS have in place for both IVF treatments and treatments for Gender Dysphoria, I would also find it incredibly useful to hear opinions on both the rationing of care for both these treatments.

Would homos have their HIV healthcare rationed, given that their high-risk sodomy is what gave them AIDS? Or, do you just mean people like smokers who are guilty of behaviors not blessed by the Tyrants (aka Liberals or Democrats)?

Speaking of Gender Dysphoria, do you want to ban mental health treatment for gender dysphoria, as is the position of the Tyrants, leaving only physical mutilation as the only legal treatment?

If the government is providing health care, all heath care should be rationed, especially non-urgent treatment (other than some preventative care). If Bruce Jenner wants to have his d!ck cut off, he should pay for that himself, or grab a knife himself. He should have paid for his breast implants, himself. Taxpayers shouldn't be expected to pay for modification of non-diseased tissue, even in a socialist system.

The government shouldn't concern itself with the cause of people's health problems (from a treatment perspective). Give the homo AIDS treatment. Give the smoker lung cancer treatment (rationed by a cost/benefit analysis).

(Sorry, I don't take seriously your claim of being open-minded).

The real question of the OP, is should the government spend on medical procedures according to the perverted values of Democrats/Liberals. So, for example, the government would pay for Bruce Jenner's feminizing cosmetic surgery but not pay for a treatment for a smoker's lung cancer.
