As predicted, Trump capitalized on the shooting and repeated his anti-radical Islamic terrorism policies (http://www.nytimes.com...). "I said this was going to happen " and it is only going to get worse," Mr. Trump said in a statement, arguing that Mrs. Clinton"s presidency would mean "hundreds of thousands" more Middle East migrants. In a separate statement on Twitter, Mr. Trump said that the rampage in Orlando "is just the beginning" and noted that he "asked for the ban" on Muslim immigration to America. Mr. Trump accused Mrs. Clinton of wanting to allow into the country "radical Muslims" who enslave women and slaughter gay people. He said that despite Mrs. Clinton"s claims to be friendlier to the L.G.B.T. community, he was the one making their safety a priority. He also made jabs at Obama, calling for his resignation. You can watch the snip-it of Trump's speech on the issue in the link provided.

Clinton of course had a different response (http://www.nytimes.com...). "Mrs. Clinton, meanwhile, warned that Mr. Trump"s anti-Muslim stances were damaging efforts to defeat terrorism and vowed to step up airstrikes against the Islamic State while working with the private sector to root out so-called lone wolf terrorists who are often recruited or inspired online." She also faulted some United States allies, saying it was "long past time" for Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other Muslim countries "to stop their citizens from funding extremist organizations," and to "stop supporting radical schools and mosques around the world that have set too many young people on a path to extremism." Mrs. Clinton called for a ban on assault weapons like the AR-15 used in Orlando and at the Sandy Hook school shooting in 2012. And she expressed her support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. You can hear her speech in the link provided.

With this greatest tragedy in American history since 9/11, do you think Trump's support is going to rise in general and/or his LGBT support? Which candidate's stance on the shooting do you support most? Do you think banning guns would help prevent incidents like these? Do you think another incident like this will happen in the future? Yes I know there's another thread on this, but let's focus on the candidates in this one.

Trump's support is absolutely going to rise after this as he is clearly the only one in the race that is going to actually try to do something about these attacks. The only question is if the increased support will be enough to overtake Clinton's support. We know firearm bans won't prevent anything because of the Charlie Hebdo/Paris attacks. We also need to acknowledge that right now, despite how unpalatable the thought is, there are Muslims somewhere plotting an attack on United States civilians. Ignore the talk about "Islamophobia". A fear of something isn't irrational if it actually constitutes an actual threat to your well-being.

Hillary wants to add insult to injury by doubling down on gun control. The left has always celebrated diversity as a virtue and even a moral imperative, and now they want everyone else to disarm themselves because their little pipe-dream utopia didn't work out? GTFO.

On this subject, everything Clinton has said seems like smart, reasonable choices.

The Saudi Arabia who has funded 20% of her campaign yet is responsible for 9/11. (Not to mention her "right hand woman, Huma Abedin, is connected to the Muslim Brotherhood). Liberalism has become delusional. Obama's administration put the entire West into danger and a crisis. The West is about to collapse because of its fondeling of Islam.

Absolutely. Under no circumstance can we risk providing ISIS with a bit of extra propaganda material.
and vowed to step up airstrikes against the Islamic State
Oh wow! That will end them forever. Just like the last 9,000 airstrikes.

Wait, I thought Trump was the one making empty promises without any specific plans???
She also faulted some United States allies, saying it was "long past time" for Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other Muslim countries "to stop their citizens from funding extremist organizations," and to "stop supporting radical schools and mosques around the world that have set too many young people on a path to extremism."
Huh. Like, the same allies who donated millions to the Clinton Foundation? Oh yeah, I totally trust Hillary to stand up to them.
Mrs. Clinton called for a ban on assault weapons like the AR-15 used in Orlando and at the Sandy Hook school shooting in 2012.
That would have stopped all of this from happening! Why didn't we think of that before?!
And she expressed her support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
I'm sure they felt very comforted.

What a fcking despicable scumbag. Go to hell, Shillary.

I don't see anything wrong with Trump publicly pointing out that he was accurate about an issue while others were not. It proves his gut instincts are far more valuable than all of Hillary's self-serving corrupt "experience".
