Timothy McVeigh was executed.

Timothy McVeigh was the worst single terrorist in American history, responsible for 168 deaths and over 680 injuries. He was convicted for use of a weapon of mass destruction, conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction, destruction with the use of explosives, and 8 counts of first-degree murder. He hoped that supporters of a limited government would be inspired by his attack, revolting against the tyrannical US federal government.

He was a registered Republican, NRA member, and at the time of his act of terror, a Christian.

He once said this in a letter to a former friend:

"And I will because not only did I swear to, but I believe in what it stands for in every bit of my heart, soul and being. I know in my heart that I am right in my struggle, Steve. I have come to peace with myself, my God and my cause. Blood will flow in the streets, Steve. Good vs. Evil. Free Men vs. Socialist Wannabe Slaves. Pray it is not your blood, my friend."

Timothy McVeigh was responsible for the Oklahoma City Bombing, the deadliest domestic terrorist attack in US history - causing the death or altering of life for at least 828 people, the destruction of a federal building, and over a billion dollars of damage (calculating for inflation). Victims of death ranged from 3 months to 73 years old. He targeted federal workers, and 99 of the deaths were of federal workers - the remaining 79 confirmed deaths (we still don't know exactly how many exact deaths there were). In response to the deaths of (sometimes pregnant) women and children, McVeigh said:

"I didn't define the rules of engagement in this conflict. The rules, if not written down, are defined by the aggressor. It was brutal, no holds barred. Women and kids were killed at Waco and Ruby Ridge. You put back in [the government's] faces exactly what they're giving out."

McVeigh was radicalized, and took his hatred for the American government out on citizens of the nation, and did more damage to America than any other single person in history. Yep, a libertarian white guy did that.

Just a reminder. It seems some people who were actually alive at the time off the attack have just forgotten it.

Instead of using a gun, a terrorist could use a truck that was hauling a ton of of diesel fuel and fertilizer that had been made into a bomb. If he were able to crash into the front doorway and get inside, he could have killed everyone in there.

Skep will see this on his own and respond. This post was not to say Islam (with radicalization) wasn't to blame for Orlando, though. This was to remind some people that other people do commit acts of violence after being radicalized by a variety of ideologies and religions. Skep is smart enough to know that.

I see everything that happens in these forums. He holds pretty nuanced positions, even if I disagree sometimes.
