The Liberal/National coalition in Australia just lost to Labor, dropping from 90 seats in the 150-seat House of Representatives to just 67. This is almost entirely due to their idiotic PM, Malcolm Turnbull. To recap what this idiot did:
*Depose Tony Abbott as PM, who while unpopular, was very popular among the party and a better campaigner.
*Abandoned virtually the entire Coalition platform, and spent his first year as PM supporting bizarre initiatives like a GST increase.
*Rammed through a bizarre Senate reform that likely means there will be more independent Senators from minor parties, meaning neither party will be able to get anything done.
*Called for a new election, despite the fact polls showed a close race, in hopes he could win Senate seats.
*Ran basically on just a single issue (a business tax cut) while ignoring relentless attacks from Labor, assuming the fact virtually ever newspaper in the country endorsed him would make everyone vote for him.

As a result of his idiocy, the Coalition has alienated its voters, will have a minority of House seats, and even less Senators (his idiotic voting scheme means Pauline Hanson will have a senate seat). Great job moron. Was it really worth it?

Abbot was bound to lose, that's why Turnbull replaced him, and regardless, do you really thing Turbull was dumber than this (watch video now)

Because they were losing popular

I'm okay with that, it sure helped the Greens

*Called for a new election, despite the fact polls showed a close race, in hopes he could win Senate seats.
He didn't really have a choice, his hand was forced

There is a reason why the party dumped Abbot.

There is, I agree. But Turnbull was a moron and didn't capitalize on it.

Again, we are talking about Tony Abbot, the "suppository" of wisdom. Did you even watch the video?
If abbot was still there he would have done far worse than Turnbull did.
