What a sell out. He says he's against the "1 percent" and "wall street" and "the establishment," then he endorses a woman who's favoured and bought out by all 3.

Looks like the far left hates Trump to such an extent to where they abandon their own values to rid him of the presidency.

Do you really think Bernie was the anti-establishment?? Heck, he's been in congress for 25 years. He's the very definition of the establishment!!

Not surprising at all, he said he would do this from day one. I dont think Sanders fully believes in Clinton, but I understand his fear of a Trump presidency.

It was inevitable, and I knew it would happen, but my heart sank a little when I read it anyway.

Yeah, but he kept saying it over and over again, so you'd think he'd try a bit harder to keep that facade going.

I think that Bernie made it pretty clear that he would only endorse her before the convention if he got enough concessions on the platform. The game was not "Bernie, come to us", it was Bernie saying "why should my supporters vote you?". When he felt that question was sufficiently answered, he endorsed her.

And anyone who thinks being in Congress = establishment is a fvcking idiot. I'm not sorry for saying that. Since I'm following it closely, I'm immediately reminded of the UK Labour Party. Their leader, Jeremy Corbyn, is hated by a lot of Labour MPs. He has been in Parliament for over three decades - so how could this man be so hated by the establishment? Well, he rebelled more from the backbench during his time than any other MP. Is that establishment? Even when he became leader, he can hardly be considered an "establishment politician" - sicne the voters, not MPs, ultimately choose the leader.

Compare that with Bernie, who is at least a standard deviation to the left of the Democratic establishment. That's why he came into politics by running against - and beating - a Democrat, and then Democrats ran against him several times. He is dedicated to public service, but is this way without the help of any party, despite his new allegiance to the Democrats - who have moved left for *his* wing.
