I mostly made this thread to see YYW's reaction, given his recent posts on Trump/Russia.
I'll see you on the Dark Side of the Moon.

So much has gone, and little is new.

My reaction is simple:

Trump has a pro-Russia foreign policy. We know this, and here it is even more overtly clear.

Thoughts on that?

It is pretty obvious that if he is willing to consider it, he has no concept of what a treaty is, why they exist, and why countries should honor them.

It really reinforces the entire authoritarian aspect of him and his supporters in that might equals right regardless of treaties and commitments.

It also demonstrates his lack of understanding of how changing our allies can have unintended negative impacts.

It is clear he is going to allow Russia to retake control of eastern Europe. I wouldn't be surprised if he withdraws support for South Korea and Taiwan causing regional conflict.

The greatest threat of authoritarianism is upon our door step to the White House and we can't even see it.
