Despite the support of the Russian aircraft, the militants of the terrorist group "Dzhebhat en-Nusra", now renamed "Dzhebhat Fatah al-Sham", supported by the United States, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, regardless of their own loss, managed to break through the encirclement of the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo, breaking through the corridor to supply their entrenched supporters there.

One of the reasons for the defeat of the government army - the defeat at Raqqa. Abandoned to storm "the Islamic state" the capital of the shock suffered huge losses, and recruits replaced them were not sufficiently resistant.

After that the militants are making desperate attempts to break through to the surrounded terrorists in northern Aleppo. Major clashes occur near the artillery and logistic schools. Government forces for two days reflect the furious onslaught of brutal fighters.

Helps to keep the fire of Syrian artillery and precision strikes Russian aviation. School has a strategic importance in the operation in Aleppo since closed the main road of the city, connecting it with the other provinces of Syria.

Terrorists rushed for propaganda purposes to declare the capture of the artillery school, but in the end they had to, suffering heavy losses, to retreat. The school is located a mile from the main boiler, which now boiled fighters. To raise the morale surrounded by deblocking of the removed clip, which showed captured weapons and equipment.

For schools of reinforcements have already arrived Syrian army. Fierce fighting continued. However, it is now clear that the attempts of the terrorists to release the ring of his accomplices failed. As the Syrian army officers reported that the terrorists are trying to take the number, sending into battle poorly trained fighters, because of which are catastrophic losses.

Terrorists in the ring slowly went crazy with rage and impotence. His anger they vent in the main not to the Syrian army and the civilians. Three Syrians who tried to get to his family, who live in the liberated areas of Aleppo, rebels caught and executed.
Humanitarian corridors are exposed to fierce shelling jihadists. Approaches to the corridors mined, managed to break through people's mines are shot from artillery. Thus, it manifested "moderation" of the opposition, supported by the United States. Western human rights organizations, as always, silent at the right time.

As for American politicians, if they do not put up with the fate of the "moderates", then close to it. Warning pulls over Libya. Aleppo as Assad should get the highest possible price, especially with respect to civilian casualties. To blame for the deaths of civilians are, of course, the Syrian president. The West needs a picture to the press to say already "face" to its manual for human rights defenders

The biggest problem in understanding the war in Syria is that it is no as simple as Government vs. Rebels and ISIS. The fact is that most rebel groups are at war with ISIS, but the Rebels are heavily divided. There are three main rebel alliances, but within them, there are subdivisions and some groups within the alliances won't work with other alliances, or are actively at war with them.

The main faction of the rebels is the Syrian Revolutionary Command Council. This is the group which is loyal to the Syrian Government in Exile and is usually called the "moderate rebels" by the Western Media. However, this coalition consists of Moderates, Islamists, Salafists, democrats, secularists, and many others, not all of whom agree. They are Against ISIS and the Regime, however, some groups within the SRCC are also opposed to the other coalitions. The largest umbrella group within it is the Free Syrian Army, the original rebel group. This coalition is heavily funded by the US government, Turkey, Qatar, France and Saudi Arabia. The problem is that many of the affiliated groups that the Saudis and Turks fund are groups which the US is against because they have bad relations with US-backed factions.

The second major faction is the Syrian Democratic Front. This group is dominated by the Kurdish militias, the YPG and the YPJ, who are loyal to the Autonomous Government of Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan). This coalition is only active in the North and West of the country and is Backed by the US, France, and Russia. They want the Assad Regime to go, and have fought against them, but their main enemy is ISIS and other Jihadists. Because of this, they have sometimes fought alongside the Assad Regime. This has made many factions of the SRCC weary of them, if not flat out enemies. Many SRCC members in the region are also members of the SDF. Local rebel groups in the areas previously liberated by the Kurds are usually members of both groups, and some Arab tribes have joined them. They are also heavily supported by Assyrian Christians. They are also joined by many foreign volunteers, including Kurdish militias from Iraq and Turkey and Leftists from Europe and the US. If any coalition is "the good guy", it is this one, however, it is only active in the Northern Half of the country.

Then there is the Army of Conquest. This group is strong in the Eastern part of the country. It consists of extreme Islamists and Jihadists, has a reputation for brutality, is known to fly the Black Flag of Jihad rather than the Flag of the Syrian opposition. They often collaborate with the SRCC against the Assad Regime, but in certain areas, they have a tense relationship. The largest group is the group mentioned in the First post, Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, formerly the Al-Nusra Front. This is Al-Qaeda's Syrian franchise and is recognized as a terrorist group by the US, UN, EU, NATO, and Russia. They are at war with both the Assad Regime and the SDF, and sometimes even at war with the SRCC when the Assad Regime or SDF are out of the picture. They seldom fight ISIS, unless ISIS encroaches on its territory. They are often the target of Russian bombing. They do not receive any western support, like the SDF or SRCC, however, they are heavily funded by Turkey, who uses them to fight the SDF, and by the Saudis, who want to spread Wahabism and Salafism.

These factions really only work together on an as needed basis, and once it is no longer needed, the forces will often fight each other.
I think that it is vital we facilitate better relations with the SDF and SRCC in order to get the war on track, because then we will be more able to know who the good guys are.

The situation is so complicated, I'm not even sure which side we should be backing up anymore.

Obama and Hillary could try their Libya strategy. Just bomb random crap into oblivion and watch the entire region fall into anarchy and chaos...
