No Nigel?

I don't know enough about politics to compile my own list, but I disagree with Trump being #1. Although I'd probably have Obama on the list, and have Nixon lower.

Best politicians? One who would have been impeached and possibly put in jail has he not resigned and been pardoned. Another a 4 year mayor known most for his drunken drugged public displays of pure embarrassment.

This is more like a f'ed up list.

To the extent that the Dalai Lama is a politician (though that may be an interesting definitional discussion) I would add him to my list and bump someone else (probably Gore) off it. I'd have to rejig the rankings, too, in that case.

1. Dr Sun Yat-sen (obviously)
2. Murray MacLehose
3. John Pope Hennessy (not sure if he's modern enough)
4. Edward Youde
5. Probably Lee Kuan Yew or Deng Xiaoping. Their inclusion may be controversial, and I do have mixed feelings about them, but overall I think what the better part of what they did were necessary at the time and ultimately beneficial.
